Tasbuilt Group (Jul 2025 – Feb 2026)
Program: Upskilling Leaders (current & emerging yard leaders) — midterm + final evaluation combined
Context
Tasbuilt delivered a six-month leadership development program for yard leaders to build stronger people leadership capability, improve communication, and strengthen leadership confidence and presence. The program blended workshops, diagnostics, 1:1 coaching, and applied practice in real leadership situations.
The challenge
Like many operational teams, Tasbuilt leaders carried high responsibility and were technically capable. The development edge was not a lack of knowledge — it was the ability to lead people well under pressure: holding accountability without blame, addressing performance early and cleanly, delegating in ways that build initiative, and staying grounded through conflict and complexity.
What we did
The program was designed around three integrated levers: shared language, pattern insight, and coached integration.
- Shared leadership language: conscious leadership tools to reduce reactivity and strengthen responsibility (including moving from blame to ownership and empowerment).
- Diagnostic insight: a 23-page Enneagram report and feedback inputs to clarify stress patterns, blind spots, and leadership impact.
- Coached integration: 1:1 sessions focused on translating insight into behaviour in real scenarios — feedback, performance, delegation, motivation, conflict, and culture.
Evidence of impact (final evaluation)
Overall: Cohort average across eight outcomes (1–5) was 3.94/5.
Confidence uplift: Average confidence as a leader of people increased from 2.5/5 to 4.0/5 (+1.5 uplift).
Strongest gains (average 4.25/5):
- Taking responsibility without blame (empowerment focus)
- Understanding stress patterns and impact (Enneagram)
- Confidence in performance conversations
- Overall confidence as a leader of people
Day-to-day leadership changes (themes): earlier and cleaner conflict engagement, clearer expectations and feedback, improved delegation and team initiative, and stronger self-regulation under pressure.
What increased ROI (important learning for future cohorts)
Participants clearly identified conditions that help the learning stick: protected time to practise, sponsor backing and clarity of authority, shorter gaps between sessions, more feedback practice loops, and activities that build team cohesion.
What the organisation gained
Tasbuilt strengthened leadership maturity where it matters most: accountability without blame, confidence in performance conversations, and steadier leadership presence under pressure. The program also produced clear organisational levers that will increase ROI in future cohorts (practice time, session rhythm, and feedback loops), supporting sustainable culture change rather than one-off training impact.
